Aside being the vectors of Malaria, the worse of bite of mosquitoes is the itching and reddish swell it leaves on your skin.
We are in the rainy season now and it is time of the year where we see the more mosquitoes due to stagnant waters and weeds.
Upon research, we found some easy remedies to treat mosquito bites and the lucky part of it is that we can find these items in our homes.
- Table Salt
Moisten the effected area and add some table salt. The salt will dry out the bite and keep it from getting infected.
2. Banana Peels
After eating a banana take the peel and rub it on the bite and that’s it! Viola! Your mosquito bite is gone.
3. Lemons
Grab a lemon from your kitchen or fridge, cut a slice or two and apply it directly to the affected area. Lemons are known to contain natural anti-inflammatory and anaesthetic properties that make them very useful in treating mosquito bites.
4. Baking Soda
Dissolve one teaspoon of baking soda in a glass of water.Dip a clean towel or cloth in the solution and leave it on the affected area for about 10-20 minutes. Wash it off with warm water.
5. Aspirin
Take a tablet or two of Aspirin, crush it up and add enough water so it turns into a paste. Rub it on your affected area and you will be relieved of the itching.
