A one million ruble (GH¢82,741.26) lawsuit against Apple was recently filed against the American corporation. According to the accuser, the company turned him gay.
The plaintiff claims that he became involved in a same-sex relationship after he received a wrong kind of cryptocurrency on the virtual wallet app that he had installed on his iPhone in 2017.
GAY COINS
D. Razumilov, the plaintiff, claims that he received 69 GayCoins from a sender he did not know. Gay coins are a cryptocurrency designed for members of the LGBT community.
The transfer was accompanied by the message “don’t knock it till you’re tried it”. This message made a sense to Razumilov and he now claims the message eventually pushed him to become involved in a relationship with another man.
EXCERPTS OF THE OFFICIAL COMPLAINT
In an official complaint, D. Razumilov wrote
I thought, indeed, how can I judge something without trying it? And decided to try same-sex relationships… I can say after the passage of two months that I’m mired in intimacy with a member of my own sex and can’t get out. I have a steady boyfriend and I don’t know how to explain it to my parents. After receiving the aforementioned message, my life has changed for the worse and will never be normal again.
Apple pushed me towards homosexuality through manipulation. The changes have caused me moral and mental harm.”
Razumilov’s lawyer, Sapizhat Gusnieva, said the lawsuit was not to be taken lightly as her client was scarred from the event and ad such is entitled to one million rubles. The hearing is scheduled for October 17, 2019.
