Everyday comes with a hot topic on social media platforms in Ghana from politics to controversies, beefs and lives of celebrities. Interestingly, this time around, arguably the most queued for meal in Ghana, waakye is trending.
On Tuesday, we saw a new entrepreneur showcase and selling waakye in glass jars on Twitter. Ghanaians on social media made it a topic as usual and so far it’s been mixed reactions about the new packaging.
We all knew waakye being sold in leaves, rubber or take away packs but this has blown a lot of minds away with some congratulating the entrepreneur behind it with others bashing it and calling for it to be stopped since it may have some health repercussions.
Check out some interesting reaction tweets we gathered from the #WaakyeLivesMatter trend.
