Ex Black Stars defender appointed FC Eindhoven coach

Former Black Stars defender, Eric Addo has been appointed coach for Dutch Eredivisie side, FC Eindhoven.

The Ghanaian who recently retired at FC Eindhoven in 2012 was appointed deputy Under-21 team coach of the Dutch side after acquiring his UEFA coaching license.

Eric Addo who was a member of the Black Stars squad at the 2006 World Cup began his European career at Club Brugge and later signed for PSV Eindhoven where he spent 10 years. He represented Belgium at international level and later opted to play for Ghana.

His appointment makes him the only African to ever manage a Dutch club and his performance will surely pave way for other black managers in the game.
