Afro Nation postponed to 2021 due to pandemic

The urban music beach festival is facing the effects of the Coronavirus.

Afro Nation 2020 has been rescheduled due to the effects of the current coronavirus pandemic.

The urban music beach festival was set to be held between  17th-19th July 2020 in Portugal and will now take off on from the 1st-3rd July 2021.

In a Tweet, organisers explained that tickets bought previously for this year’s event will still be valid for the rescheduled show next year.

The organizers’ decision to reschedule has upset fans who were expecting a refund from them. The option of reselling their tickets did not do much to calm them.

The statement in the post read,

‘Afro Nation has been closely monitoring this situation and working in tandem with partners, local authorities and the Portuguese government. The safety of our fans, artists, staff and the local community remain paramount.’

‘In light of the recent Portuguese Government directive regarding large gatherings, Afro Nation Portugal will be postponed to July 1st-3rd 2021 and all tickets will remain valid…
