Blackbusters Family Media Foundation donates to commercial drivers at Adenta in the fight against Coronavirus

One of Ghana’s best event company’s, Black Busters Family Media joined the fight against coronavirus.

Blackbusters Family Media (BBFM) foundation on Friday, March 27, 2020, donated prevention materials to the Adenta Police Station and various drivers’ unions in the Adenta Municipality.

Addressing some drivers and passengers, Portia Arthur, General Manager of Blackbusters Family Media said “Ghana has recorded 132 cases of Coronavirus so far and we cannot afford the unthinkable consequences of a COVID-19 pandemic in Africa. It has disrupted the global supply of goods and services. 

The outbreak is the world’s most pressing uncertainty and as Government lay down rules and regulations to combat the spread of Coronavirus, it is the duty of companies, and individuals to support the initiatives by policymakers to prevent economic fallout by donating prevention supplies needed to curtail the spread of the disease in the country and on the continent”.

She added that “Blackbusters Family Media is an organization with international footprints and reputation and we can’t sit on the fence, panic or ignore the facts or fail to act. The blackbusters foundation thereby presents these items to commercial drivers in the Adenta Municipality to fight against the spread of coronavirus. We urge all Ghanaians to adhere to the right precautionary measures and stay at home”.

The recipients were taken through the proper handwashing techniques and also educated on the other precautionary measures that should be followed to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

The Assembly Woman for Gbentaana Electoral Area, Adenta, Hon. Ella Esinam Nongo who threw her support behind the initiative urged the electorates to adhere to the right coronavirus preventive measures and wash their hands intermittently to avoid contracting the virus. She advised the people to eat healthy and adopt a good personal hygiene measures to also avoid spreading the virus. Lastly, she cautioned the drivers and motor rides to properly sanitize their vehicles and motors daily before the day’s activities.
