Chelsea Football Club are not yet done in this transfer window as they are closer to signing goalkeeper, Edouard Mendy from Rennes.
According to sources, the 28 year old keeper has agreed personal terms and a 5-year deal with the Premier League club and has also told the hierarchy at Rennes that he wants to join Chelsea.
Rennes president Holveck speaking to the media said: “We’ve started official negotiations with Chelsea to sell Edouard Mendy. We know the player wants to leave [and join Chelsea]. But the agreement at the moment is not 100% completed between the three parts”.
Once confirmed, Mendy will be the 7th arrival at the London side in what has been called by many as a ruthless transfer window by the Russian billionaire owned club.
