COVID-19 UPDATE: Ghana records second death

So far 521 suspected cases have been tested for COVID-19 by the Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research (NMIMR) and the Kumasi Centre for Collaborative Research (KCCR).

Twenty-seven (27) cases have been confirmed so far. This includes two (2) deaths.

The  twenty-five (25) surviving confirmed cases are receiving treatment from the authorities in isolation .

 

NATIONALITIES OF CONFIRMED CASES 

Out of the confirmed cases, twenty (20) are of Ghanaian nationality.

Seven (7) are of other countries namely: China, France, Lebanon, Norway & UK.

 

CONTACT TRACING

A total of 598 contacts have been identified so far according to reports and are being tracked.

Out of the 598, one (1) of the contacts developed symptoms and has been confirmed positive for COVID-19.
