Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly earned a whooping $105 million in 365 days between June 1, 2019 and June 1, 2020. This amount was stated by Forbes when it released their yearly list of the top 100 highest-paid athletes in the world late last month. This makes him the first football player to earn $1 billion dollars during his career.
Surprisingly, he came in second behind Roger Federer, a tennis superstar. This makes him the third athlete after Tiger Woods and Floyd Mayweather to hit the $1 billion earnings mark while still actively competing.
According to Forbes, $650 million of Ronaldo’s staggering career earnings have come from his salary and allowances. The rest comes through from endorsements ($45 million via endorsements in the past year).
Ronaldo is also a part of the trio (Michael Jordan & LeBron James) that have a lifetime contract with Nike.
