‘Don’t wear blue outfits to registration centre’ – EC to Ghanaians

The Electoral Commission of Ghana has advised all prospective voters visiting the registration centres not to wear blue outfits.

According to Madam Sylvia Annor, Ag. Director, Public Affairs at the Commission in an interview on Peace FM’s morning show ‘Kokrokoo’, “the background of the biometric photograph is blue so I will urge that we don’t wear blue attire to the registration centres to ensure a good photograph”.

Many have questioned why people have to join long queues to register in these modern times when it can be done online.

In response, Madam Sylvia Annor said for transparency reasons, the registration cannot be done online as the law does not permit that.

” . . the level of transparency in our system does not allow us to register online,” she responded to a question by the host, Kwami Sefa Kayi.
