The case of the Missing Takorai Girls gets murkier by the hour. DNA tests carried out on remains found in the compound of one of the suspects in the case prove the remains are indeed those of the Takoradi girls.
The families of the girls are devastated and are in a state of shock as they were still holding on to the belief that their beloved girls would be found. The family of Ruth Quayson have expressed their grief and annoyance at the Ghana Police Service and other authorities in a peculiar way.
The Quayson family apparently, received a call from the President, Nana Akufo -Addo and in a move that has shocked others, the family decided to ignore the President’s call.
…the family decided to ignore the President’s call.
According to various reports, the President was calling to console the family after the results of the tests went public. The uncle of the deceased refused to answer the President since according to him, the call was too late and as such the family did not need the call. Kate Quayson has been very vocal about her beliefs regarding the case. Kate says since the Police did not give them any notice, they doubt the authenticity of the reports made by the Police
The family has also demanded they (the family) run another DNA test. They were also angry about the fact that the Police Service did not provide them with and documentary proof regarding the DNA report on the skeletal remains found in August of this year.
