With the year drawing quickly to a close, political parties have actively began their campaigns and promises towards the 2020 Presidential election year.
On morning TV and radio shows, members of the two major political parties in Ghana, National Democratic Congress (NDC) and New Patriotic Party (NPP) are putting in overtime in a bid to win big in the upcoming Presidential elections.
An Afrobarometer report stated that, a significant number of Ghanaians are undecided on which of the two major political parties in the country they will prefer to vote for in the 2020 elections.
The survey questioned some citizens on which political party they would be voting for should the Presidential elections be held the next day.
It was discovered that a great number of Ghanaians will decide not to vote, do not know how to vote or are not comfortable enough with disclosing such dicey information.
According to the survey, the results also show that number of people who stated that they would not vote have increased. This was marked by a 6% increase since a similar survey in 2017 – the highest since 2008.
The report also claims that the voting citizens need and are open to some convincing on who to vote for in the coming months for Ghana’s 2020 Presidential elections.
