Gov’t debunks rumours on payment of COVID-19 ambassadors

Government today has reacted to rumours that they will pay celebs in Ghana to be COVID-19 ambassadors.

Speaking at the Minister’s press briefing for the updates on the outbreak of COVID-19 in Ghana, Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah stated categorically that the government in power will not pay any celebrities in the country.

“I have read rumours on the internet that Government is going to pay celebs to be ambassadors for COVID-19, we are not going to pay any celebs to do that.” he said.
