Torrential rains around the curve towards the Peduase Lodge on the Aburi road stretch have caused a landslide.
The landslide on the Aburi road has caused a section of the busy road to be blocked. The blockage has also caused a gridlock along the Peduase – Ayi Mensah stretch.
The heavy rains triggered the already impending landslide. The protected lands are now being sold indiscriminately.
All traffic from Adenta towards Aburi hills have now been re-routed to the other side of the dual carriage road that also leads users to Koforidua and the Akwapim area.
National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) officials and police personnel are at the scene to manage the traffic situation.
