Low turnout for District Assembly & Unit Committee elections

Elections for the local government structures (District Assembly and Unit Committee) are currently ongoing.

Over the previous days, electorates have been exposed to the aspirations and campaign promises of the almost 56,000 people standing for office.

Various communities have already commenced the voting process but are unfortunately faced with low voter turnout.

As at when Twitter user @dumevi_promise was done voting, only 5 people had also voted in his area, Asylum Down.

Interestingly, other users were of the view that political parties had to get involved with the elections to boost the number of electorates who participate.

In other news,Nana Adabor Ibrahim Isaah Ampim aka Hon. Aponkye, aspiring Assembly Member for Adukrom Nima Electoral area, is also receiving messages from his fans and electorates .
