The Ghana Police Service in Nsawam have arrested 32-year-old Kwame Alibo, an unemployed man of Oparekrom, which is a suburb of Nsawam for an alleged murder. He is accused of stabbing his uncle, Sampson Kumi, to death.
According to Nsawam District Police Commander, Superintendent Marian Osei-Adu Owusu, the incident was reported to the Police by other members of the family.
The misunderstanding which ensued between the two family members of resulted in the suspect stabbing the victim with a knife in the chest through the left rib.
Sadly, the victim died while being conveyed to the Nsawam Government Hospital.
Supt. Owusu also said the suspect was arrested by the police at his hideout. The body of the deceased has since been deposited at the Accra Police Hospital mortuary for autopsy.
After the completion of the investigations the suspect would be arraigned if need be. The suspect is assisting the Police in their investigations.
