Meet The New GFA President – Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku

Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku has just been elected the GFA President. The new President was vying for the controversial position with other delegates but emerged the winner after the elections had to be taken through a second round.

Kurt Okraku began his leadership career when he formed the Shooting Stars FC, a colts club located at Achimota.

He is also know as a seasoned sports journalist and football administrator. He also holds the record of being one of the first student
volunteers as a Sports Presenter/Producer at the campus-based Radio Universe of the University of Ghana.

In his own words :

I have owned and continue to own a colts football club. I have owned a division three club, successfully owned a division two club, a division one club and been involved in the management of a number of premier league clubs. Thus, I have seen it all at every stage of our football ecosystem and in a position to lead the resolution of the challenges that confront the industry.”
