An NPP aspirant in the recent Parliamentary primaries held in the Ajumako Enyam Essiam constituency decided to take back all the cars he donated to the party.
Elisha Debrah Odoom had brought 11 cars to the election grounds. He intended to donate them to the party but ended up taking away all the vehicles after he lost the election.
Before the election, he promised to donate each of the cars to the constituency’s 10 zones while the other car headed to the constituency office.
Unfortunately at the end of the election, a confident Elisha Debrah lost to Rashid Kwesi Etuaful. Elisha managed to secure 67 votes as compared to Mr Etuaful who had 411 votes.
An angry man, Elisha quickly asked after the election results, that all the cars be loaded on a trailer and then moved to his residence. This came as a surprise to the delegates.
The shocked delegates were of the view that, Mr. Odoom had acquired the cars for the party because of his love and dedication towards it.
To Mr. Odoom, there’s no such thing as free lunch. He expected to win and since that did not happen, he decided to take back the cars he had promised the party.
