midnight tomorrow April 5.
The President Nana Akufo-Addo has extended the closure of Ghana’s borders by another two weeks.
The extended closure will take effect from midnight of April 5, 2020.
Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, the Minister for Information, in a tweet on Saturday said;
Hi Folks, President @NAkufoAddo has by a new executive instrument, EI 66, extended the closure of Ghana’s borders by another two weeks effective midnight tomorrow April 5.

He also added that the President is of the opinion that such difficult decisions are necessary ways to protect the lives of Ghanaians even though it may cause them some slight discomfort.
According to the Minister, the order to extend the border closure is a way to ensure that the risk of COVID-19 being imported into the country is significantly reduced.
Meanwhile, resources will be focused on furthering the contact tracing and testing program which is currently underway in the country.
It should be noted that, the border closure, still does not affect goods.
