Investigative Nigerian journalist, Kiki Mordi has just bagged her first Emmy nomination in the News & Current Affairs category.for her documentary that exposed the rot in some West African universities when she and others went undercover to a number of tertiary institutions in Nigeria and Ghana to investigate the sexual assault claims made by students over they years.

 

Kiki Mordi worked with BBC Africa Eye to create the documentary which captured a  number of lecturers who demanding sex for grades.

To gain admission into UNILAG, Kiki (posing as a prospective student) was propositioned by a lecturer to trade sexual favours for her potential admission into the institution.

Kiki’s hard work has received recognition and has also helped to push the conversation towards sexual assault.
