Six persons in custody for Uwa murder.

Six persons suspected to be involved in the horrific murder of Vera Uwaila Omozuaa, a 21-year-old tertiary student have been arrested by the police in Edo State, Nigeria.

According to the Nigerian Tribune, Johnson Kokumoha the state’s commissioner of police paraded the suspected felons on Wednesday

One of the suspected killers, Collins Uligbe claims that his landlady, one Mrs Mary Ade, gave them (the six) N1 million to kill Uwa.

Collins also said that the landlady Mrs. Mary asked him to wipe Uwaila’s intimate parts with a handkerchief which she was going to use for some ritual purposes in order to make her business prosper.

Unsurprisingly, the landlady has denied the allegation.

According to the police commissioner, the postmortem results have confirmed that Miss Omozua was indeed raped before she was murdered as was speculated.

In May, Uwaila a 100 level Microbiology student at the University of Benin was killed and raped in a church in her neighborhood where she reportedly went to read sometimes.
