The Mpraeso Senior High School in the Kwahu South District is unfortunately the latest secondary school to have recorded cases of COVID-19.
According to a news report by Citi Newsroom, there is no confirmation whether there are any positive cases in the school but students suspected to have the virus have been tested and are awaiting their results.
The Kwahu South Director of Education, Ofosu Kwakye, told Citi Newsroom that the students had been isolated from the rest of the school population and have also had their samples taken. He also said all the samples were sent to Accra for testing noting that the isolated students were also getting appropriate medical attention.
This event comes after news of six students in Accra Girls Senior High tested positive for the Coronavirus. Some parents who spoke in different interviews indicated that they were restless knowing that their children/wards might be at an increased risk of catching the virus.
