Gyedu Blay Ambolley has once again descended heavily on the former MUSIGA President Bice Osei Kuffour, aka Obour.
Mr Ambolley, speaking in an interview, said Obour and his supporting MUSIGA team were all likely criminals and he Obour doesn’t deserve to lead the Ghanaian music industry. He then said: “Obour’s MUSIGA is a syndicate of Mafiarism”.
Obour’s administration is widely seen as a glaring example of an extremely unsuccessful leadership style considering how many musicians made complaints about the lack of structures needed to project the concept of a “Ghanaian Music Brand”.
After his time as MUSIGA President, Obour like many before him ventured into politics with the New Patriotic Party. Some months ago, he faced a near win in the parliamentary primaries organized by the NPP and was subjected to ridicule by his colleagues and other Ghanaians.
Gyedu Blay Ambolley is an outspoken antagonist of the Obour administration and recently spoke against GHAMRO and MUSIGA. According to Ambolley, on several occasions the Musician union’s office was used illegally used to facilitate visas for non members of the union. His accusation caused an uproar and resulted in Okyeame Kwame,(an ally of Obour) asking Ambolley to withdraw those accusations.
