The Sugar man, Ghanaian musician KiDi encountered a rare experience at the hands of a radio show host, Nana Romeo.
On Thursday, the musician was asked to leave the studios of Accra FM. This was because he reported late for a scheduled interview with Nana Romeo.
Nana Romeo expressed his displeasure with the artiste’s behaviour. Interestingly this was the second time Kidi had appeared late to the mid-morning show- Ayekoo Ayekoo. The host called the interview off since Kidi was reported to have been 25 minutes late to the segment. The interview was scheduled to begin at 11 AM but Kidi showed up at 11:25 AM.
Nana Romeo was reported to have said
I feel embarrassed because this is the second time you are doing this. We always announce the time to the public but you don’t show up at the agreed time. That is not the case with other stations when you visit them.”
He went on to cancel the segment even though he had planned a ‘beautiful interview’.
In the live stream, Kidi had the grace to be embarrassed as he apologised, saying:
“I apologise for this, I don’t mean to disrespect anybody. I don’t like the way I have been spoken to this morning but I apologise.”
Nana Romeo did not care to ask for the reason Kidi was late this time around. Influenced by his previous action, he decided to sack him out of the studio
