WASSCE invigilator arrested after examination malpractice

A teacher/invigilator at the ongoing WASSCE in the Eastern region of Ghana has been arrested for examination malpractice.

Mr. Evans Yeboah who is an Intergrated Science at the Kade Senior High Technical School was arrested for dictating answers to students during one of the WASSCE papers.

The call for his arrest was after the Director-General of the Ghana Education Service (GES), Prof. Kwasi Opoku-Amankwa interdicted him for his actions.

“He took a snapshot of the question and sent it outside for someone to solve and send the solution back to him via WhatsApp.” said Prof. Opoku-Amankwa

“An unfortunate incident which maybe has come to the attention of the media is that in one of the schools in the Eastern Region, a teacher was found dictating something on his phone to students. The school officials and WAEC officials immediately reported him to the police.”

He has since been granted bail by the Kade Police.
